Brew with precision.
Learn with data.

Coffee Grind Helper turns every cup into a data point. Record your parameters, track your results, and contribute to a community-trained model that helps every brewer dial in faster.

Coming soon on iOS and Android.

Everything a serious
brewer needs

From your first espresso pull to your hundredth filter session — every variable tracked, every result recorded.

Brew session logging

Log every variable — dose, yield, water temperature, brew time, pre-infusion, grind setting, and ambient conditions. One tap to start a new session.

Bean library

A shared community database of beans with origin, process, roaster, and roast level. Find the bean you are using or add one for everyone to use.

Grinder database

Community-managed grinder records covering burr type, burr size, and whether it is electric or manual. Track your grind setting per brew session.

Six brew methods

Espresso, filter/pour over, french press, AeroPress, moka pot, and cold brew — each with method-specific parameter fields like pre-infusion time for espresso.

Bean batch tracking

Track multiple batches of the same bean — each with its own roast date and opening date. Monitor how flavour evolves as beans age and degas after opening.

1–6 quality rating

Rate each brew on a 1 to 6 scale. Simple enough to be consistent, granular enough to be useful for model training and your own personal trend analysis.

Every variable
that matters

  • Brew parameters Dose, water amount, temperature, brew time, pre-infusion time, yield
  • Equipment Grinder model, grind size setting, brew method
  • Bean details Origin, process, roast level, roast date, days since opening
  • Environment Ambient temperature and humidity at brew time
  • Result Rating (1–6) and free-text tasting notes

Your brews train the
next brewer's model

Every session you log contributes anonymised data to a shared training dataset. We use this to build predictive models that can recommend grind settings, dose, and water temperature for a given bean and target flavour profile.

The more users brew, the smarter the model gets. Your data is never personally identifiable in any trained model — only your brewing parameters and ratings are used.

Built together,
brewed better

Coffee Grind Helper is more than a personal log. The bean and grinder databases are community-owned — everyone contributes, everyone benefits.

Bean database

Any user can add a bean entry — name, roaster, origin country, processing method, and roast level. Once added, every user can link that bean to their batches and brew sessions.

Grinder database

Submit your grinder with brand, model, burr type, burr size, and whether it is electric or manual. Other users benefit immediately — no waiting for an admin to approve entries.

Your data stays yours

Your brew sessions and ratings are completely private. Only the bean and grinder records you choose to submit are visible to other users.

No ads. No tracking.

Coffee Grind Helper does not serve ads, does not sell data, and does not use third-party analytics. The only personal data stored is your Google account ID, email, and profile picture.

What's coming
next

Coffee Grind Helper is actively developed. Here is where we are and where we are heading.

iOS release

Coffee Grind Helper is currently Android-only. An iOS version using the same React Native codebase is planned once the core feature set is stable.

Planned
ML-powered grind recommendations

The first model trained on community data will power an in-app recommendation engine. Given your bean, grinder, and target rating, it will suggest a starting grind setting and dose.

Planned
Tasting notes and flavour tags

Structured tasting notes with flavour tags (fruity, chocolate, floral, nutty etc.) as structured inputs rather than free text — making the data far more useful for model training.

Flavour tags Acidity / body / sweetness
Planned
Bean origin database expansion

Expand community-managed bean origins to include region, altitude, and variety (Geisha, Bourbon, SL28 etc.) for richer ML features and more detailed brew session context.
