Coffee Grind Helper is an independent mobile application for recording coffee brewing parameters and results. The app is developed and operated by an individual developer. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this page.
We collect only what is necessary to run the service. The table below describes every category of personal data we hold.

We do not collect: precise location, contacts, device identifiers, payment information, health data, or any data beyond what is listed above.
Machine learning training: Your anonymised brew session data (parameters and ratings, never your name or email) may be used to train predictive models. This data is used in aggregate and is not personally identifiable in any trained model.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure, which is hosted on AWS and complies with SOC 2 Type II standards. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your personal brew data is restricted to your account through Row Level Security — no other user can read your private brew sessions.
Your Google account credentials are never stored by Coffee Grind Helper. Authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth infrastructure and Supabase Auth.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing platforms.
The only data visible to other users is what you explicitly contribute to community tables:
Your brew sessions, ratings, and personal notes are always private and never visible to other users.
Infrastructure providers: We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider. Supabase processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. No other third-party processors handle your personal data.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
Right of access: You can view all your brew sessions and account data directly within the app at any time.
Right to deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data by sending an email to the address below. We will process your request within 30 days.
Please note the following limitations on deletion:
We retain your personal data (account ID, email, profile picture) and your private brew sessions for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, your personal data and private brew sessions are removed within 30 days.
Community-contributed data (bean and grinder records) is retained indefinitely as it forms part of the shared knowledge base of the app.
Coffee Grind Helper is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Coffee Grind Helper after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
